The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State’s last gubernatorial election, Bola Oyebamiji, has urged residents who have not yet collected their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to do so without delay.
Oyebamiji emphasised that the PVC remains the most powerful tool citizens possess to elect leaders of their choice in the upcoming general elections.
Following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) resumption of PVC distribution at ward collation centres, Oyebamiji stated on Saturday, encouraging residents to visit their local centres and claim their cards.
He noted that thousands of PVCs remain uncollected in INEC’s custody across the state.
He urged residents to safeguard their cards once collected and strongly cautioned against vote-buying.

“The time has come again to turn out in large numbers and obtain our Permanent Voter Cards as we approach the next general elections.
“INEC has resumed distribution, and it is our civic duty as citizens to collect our cards and vote. In Osun, many PVCs remain in the custody of the electoral body. Let us go and collect ours.
“For those who are yet to collect their PVCs, I implore you to do so without delay. For those who already have theirs, please keep them safe. Our PVCs represent our voice and are the only means to elect leaders with proven track records who will deliver good governance and development. I also urge everyone not to sell their votes, as this card is your sole instrument to participate in shaping our future,” he added.
Oyebamiji also rallied support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration, urging residents to show their continued backing by voting overwhelmingly for his re-election.
