The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has held its primary election across local government areas to elect candidates for the House of Representatives.
The election, held on Saturday, took place in different wards across the nine federal constituencies.

Former representative, Babatunde Ayeni and one Oluwole Komolafe announced their withdrawal from the race during the process.
Also, Abeeb Adedapo emerged as the party’s candidate for Iwo Federal Constituency.
At the APC party secretariat in Osogbo, the State Secretary, Alao Kamoru, assured journalists that the party would announce the winners of the primaries and subsequently unveil its candidates for the elections.

He said the primaries remained peaceful and that voters were eager to exercise their franchise, adding that results would be announced as they come in later on Saturday.
