Osun: Adeleke woos investors as Ondo govt promises to partner Osun for economic growth

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has urged investors from across the world to make judicious use of the natural resources in the state for their economic gains and overall development of the state.
The Governor who identified the economic potentials of the state, stressed the need for global investors to invest in the state as the state is endowed with many natural resources.
The Governor while declaring close the maiden Osun State Industrial and economic summit organized by the state Ministry of Commerce and Industry, charged investors a cross different sectors to partner with the state to boost the state’s economy and provide employment opportunity for the teaming youths in the state
Governor Adeleke maintained that his vision is to grow the economy of the state and make the state industrial hub of the South West geo political zone, with many industries being sited in the state
He enthused that the state will soon be the preferred destination of investors in the country going by the plans envisioned by his government.
Adeleke who said the state is blessed with natural resources useful for industries around the world also hinted that Osun has diverse economic opportunities, opining that the state will soon emerge as an economic giant.
Speaking, Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa who was represented by his deputy, Dr Olayide Odunlami expressed the readiness of the Ondo State government to partner with Osun State for the economic growth of the two states.
He said Ondo State is also blessed with various natural resources including bitumen, which if well taped into, will benefit many industries around the world and turn around the economy of the entire South West region.
Earlier in his address, the state commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev Bunmi Jenyo had said that the aim of the summit was in line with the vision of the Governor to make Osun State the industrial hub of the south west region in no distant time.
He said the current administration in the state is determined to turn the state around and improve the standard of living of the people of the state.
