Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is reportedly set to dissolve his cabinet as part of procedural preparations for his second-term inauguration, slated for November 27.
According to sources close to the administration, the official announcement regarding the cabinet dissolution could be made as early as Wednesday.
While awaiting the transition directive, Governor Adeleke has constituted a central inauguration committee, chaired by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Teslim Igbalaye.
A statement issued by Kehinde Adeoye, Special Assistant on Media and Digital Communication to the SSG, confirmed that the committee was formally inaugurated on Tuesday at the Government Secretariat in Abeere.
Speaking at the inauguration on behalf of the governor, Igbalaye expressed appreciation to committee members for their loyalty, prayers, and sacrifices, which culminated in the administration’s electoral victory at the polls.
He, however, reminded them that the renewed mandate demands heightened commitment to good governance and the delivery of democratic dividends.
“Victory at the polls translates to more work and greater responsibilities. The good people of Osun State have renewed their trust in us, and their expectations are higher,” Igbalaye stated.

The SSG urged members and various sub-committees to collaborate closely with the Central Planning Committee to ensure a seamless, well-coordinated ceremony.
He emphasised the importance of unity, describing the upcoming event as a vital platform to reaffirm the administration’s resolve to execute more life-impacting programmes.
The swearing-in ceremony is officially scheduled to take place on Friday, November 27, 2026, marking the commencement of Governor Adeleke’s second term in office.
Meanwhile, party members are in a dilemma over the inclusion of Adeleke in the campaign council for the second term of President Bola Tinubu which the governor has agreed to serve on.
This is coming at a time when national and state assembly candidates are expecting Adeleke’s participation in their campaign.
While the governor intends to fulfil the political promise he made to Tinubu during his electioneering, loyalty to the party is being put at stake.
