Osita Osemene, Executive Director of the Patriotic Citizen Initiative (PCI), has received the prestigious International Academy for Human Excellence (IAHE) Global Leadership and Peace Awards.
The Leadership Award recognises Osemene’s significant contributions to leadership, education, and peacebuilding, while the Peace Award highlights his efforts in fostering societal harmony, spreading happiness, and inspiring others, according to IAHE.
Dr. Melody Omorodion described Osemene’s recognition as well-deserved, citing his international contributions to development through PCI’s work. “Osemene is an influential leader and a role model who has been at the forefront of advocating against human trafficking and irregular migration,” he stated.
Dr. Melody also praised Osemene as a “gift to humanity,” noting his dedication to empowering and reintegrating stranded Nigerians into society.
In his acceptance speech, Osemene expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasising its motivational impact. “I am glad that the world acknowledges our service to humanity. We continue to innovate in our approach to touch more lives and will not relent. Thank you to IAHE and everyone who has supported PCI and our mission,” he said.
