Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Senior Pastor, Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja, Pastor Dr Paul Enenche, are expected to be guest speakers at Plateau Unity Christmas Carols and Praise Festival 2025.
The festival has been described as a testament to God’s unending love, unity, blessings and protection over Plateau State.
Secretary to the Government, Samuel Jatau, who is the Chairman, Central Planning Committee, said in a statement that the event is in a demonstration of its resolve to foster peace, love, and unity in diversity, praise, a celebration of faith, gratitude, and togetherness.
The statement said, “The 2025 edition of the festival is designed to strengthen the bonds of friendship among the people of Plateau, while celebrating the shared unity in diversity that defines the state. It also provides a profound opportunity for Christians within and beyond Nigeria to praise God and appreciate His unfailing love, abundant blessings, and divine protection over Plateau State and the nation at large.
“The Central Planning Committee, under the leadership of His Excellency, Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Executive Governor of Plateau State, has made comprehensive preparations to ensure a successful and memorable event that will inspire hearts and uplift spirits.”
Guests expected to grace the occasion include former Heads of State, Yakubu Gowon, who is the special guest of honour, ex-President Gen Olusegun Obasanjo, and Minister of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy Hannatu Musa Musawa.

The festival is scheduled to hold from Friday, 28th to Sunday, 30th November 2025, at the Ten Commandments Prayer Altar, Du, Jos South Local Government Area, and will commence daily at 3:30 p.m.
The event, according to Jatau, will be enlivened by the electrifying ministrations of renowned gospel artistes such as Sinach, Buchi, Uche and Loretta, as well as the Kungiyan Nasari Choir from Katsina State.
Other participants include Plateau indigenes residing in Abuja, denominational choirs, women’s fellowships, singing groups, musicians, and choristers from the Southern and Central Senatorial Zones. A special children’s quiz and scripture recitation segment will also form part of the festival highlights.
He said preparations are ongoing to expand the venue’s capacity and create strategic viewing areas where participants can comfortably sit or stand to experience God’s glorious presence. Additionally, cubicles for vendors will be provided, while over 60 corporate organisations have been invited to partner and participate.
He encouraged residents across Plateau’s 17 local government areas that as the season of joy approaches, they should embrace the Christmas spirit by decorating their homes, churches, and business premises, reflecting the beauty of unity, hope, and divine love that the season represents.
