Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Turkish Super Lig giant, Galatasaray has been rated as the most expensive transfer outside the top five leagues in Europe (Premier League, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, German Bundesliga, and French Ligue 1).
Galatasaray reached an agreement with Napoli for all terms related to Osimhen’s transfer on Sunday, which includes an €80 million transfer fee, a clause preventing the sale of the Nigerian player to Italian clubs for two years, and a 10% share in any future sale.
According to SportingSun, sourced from the Turkish outlet Nexus Spor, Osimhen’s move to Galatasaray will be the highest transfer fee outside the top five leagues since Neymar’s transfer to Al-Hilal. Neymar Jr.’s transfer was valued at €90 million, while Osimhen’s fee stands at €80 million.

As a result of this transfer, Osimhen will become the third-highest-paid player in the world this summer. The top player on this list is Florian Wirtz, who moved to Liverpool for €125 million, followed by Hugo Ekitike, who is set to complete a €95 million transfer.
While the transfer is valued at €75 million, Galatasaray will only pay €40 million this summer. The remaining €35 million will be paid in installments, possibly over the next 12–18 months.
Napoli has secured a 10% sell-on clause, entitling them to a portion of any future transfer fee Galatasaray receives if it sells Osimhen elsewhere.
If Galatasaray sells Osimhen for, say, €100 million in two years, Napoli would earn another €10 million to ensure it benefits from Osimhen’s market growth.
