Victor Osimhen is expected to action for Galatasaray in their first match after the first international break of the 2026-2027 season, according to reports from the Turkish media, including sports daily Fanatik.
The striker was initially named in the Super Eagles squad for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau.
However, the Nigeria Football Federation and Galatasaray agreed that he should withdraw from the squad to continue his recovery.
Osimhen picked up the injury during Galatasaray’s clash with Başakşehir on September 4 and has since missed matches against Sporting Lisbon, Kocaelispor and Trabzonspor.

Galatasaray informed the NFF that the 27-year-old required further treatment, with the club’s medical team advising against his involvement with Nigeria.
Osimhen’s recovery is progressing well and he is expected to resume team training soon.
The former African Footballer of the Year is set to return to the squad for Galatasaray’s Süper Lig meeting with Kasımpaşa on October 9.
Prior to his spell on the sidelines, Osimhen was in blistering form, with six goals and two assists in the opening four matches of the campaign.
