Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen is not only the highest paid Nigerian football player but the 16th in Europe.
According to a survey by influential France based L’Equipe, Osimhen, whose €1.50m (£1.29m) monthly salary ranks him as the 16th highest-paid player in Europe.
However, Egypt and Liverpool playmaker, Mohamed Salah is seventh and the richest African.
The richest player in Europe is PSG’s Kylian Mbappe who earns a staggering €6million (£5.15m) each month. Following him is England captain, Harry Kane who earns €2.10m (£1.80m) per-month, putting him as the Bundesliga’s highest-paid player.
Man City playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne is third on the list, with the Belgian raking in €2.02 (£1.73m) every four weeks. And he’s joined by Manchester City teammate, Erling Haaland, who earns €1.90m (£1.63m) each month.
However, Mail Sport understands that while Haaland receives a basic salary, which is in line with the other higher earners at the Etihad Stadium, a series of substantial, almost-guaranteed bonuses see his weekly wage surge beyond the £850,000 mark.
This means that the Norwegian is earning nearer to the £3.4m-a-month mark, which would place him second on the list.
