Victor Osimhen is on track to return to full action for Galatasaray ahead of their crucial Super Lig clash against Fenerbahçe later this month.
The Nigerian striker has been out with an arm injury sustained during a UEFA Champions League play-off tie against Liverpool, but he has now resumed training as the title race enters a decisive phase.
Osimhen, who recently underwent surgery, has started non-contact training with the squad, although he was not included in the matchday squad for their weekend fixture.
A source close to the player and Nigerian OAP, Buchi Laba, expressed optimism about his recovery timeline.

“The King is back! Victor Osimhen was part of training yesterday. Non-contact.
“There’s a little chance he will be available for the Gençlerbirliği game, whether in the league or cup, but he will be 100 per cent ready to start against Fenerbahçe in the league.”
The club also confirmed his gradual return, stating, “Victor Osimhen trained with the team during the first part of the session, then continued his work under the supervision of physiotherapists on the field and in the gym as part of the special programme prepared for him.”
With Galatasaray holding a slim lead in the league, Osimhen’s return is seen as a major boost as they prepare for the derby, having already delivered strong numbers this season with goals across both domestic and European competitions.
