Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continued his strong start to the season, scoring once and providing an assist as Galatasaray defeated Göztepe 3-2 on Saturday.
Göztepe took a shock lead in the 16th minute through Miroshi, but Galatasaray responded quickly, with Davinson Sánchez restoring parity as the Turkish champions began to take control.
Osimhen then turned provider, setting up Sara to put Galatasaray ahead and complete the hosts’ turnaround before half-time.
The Nigerian striker added his own name to the scoresheet in the 63rd minute, confidently converting a penalty to extend his season tally to five goals.
Göztepe pulled another goal back to make the closing stages tense, but Galatasaray held firm to secure all three points.
The victory takes Galatasaray to the top of the Turkish league table after three matches, strengthening their early bid to retain the championship.
