Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen has been released from Maslak Acıbadem Hospital after a successful surgery on his fractured arm.
Osimhen, who had his arm in a cast in England and spent his four-day leave in Nigeria, arrived in Istanbul on Monday and went directly to the hospital.
The surgery which was performed by Galatasaray’s doctor, Yener İnce, and the medical team, lasted 3 hours.
According to Turkish football pundit, Burhan Can Terzi: “Osimhen was successful and he’s expected to be discharged today (Tuesday).”
Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek visited Osimhen in the hospital after his surgery. Upon leaving the hospital, he said, “He’s doing very well, he had a successful operation. Hopefully, he’ll return to the pitch as soon as possible.”

Dursun Özbek, responding to the question, “There’s a lot of curiosity. Can he play in the Fenerbahçe derby? Do you have any predictions?”, replied, “He will try to return as soon as possible.”
The player is expected to be out of action for at least a month.
He’ll miss the league matches against Trabzonspor, Göztepe, Kocaelispor, and Gençlerbirliği, as well as the Turkish Cup match against Gençlerbirliği.
Osimhen could be available for the Fenerbahçe derby in the week of April 26th. Depending on his post-operative recovery process, the aim is to have the player ready for the Fenerbahçe match.
The 26-year-old star footballer has played 26 matches for Galatasaray this season, scoring 19 goals and providing 7 assists.
