Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen is five goals away from earning €260,000 if he gets 30 goals this season, after he bagged a brace on Sunday in the 4-0 thrashing of Torino at the Stadio Olympico Grande Torino.

It was Osimhen’s 21st goal in 23 matches and 25th in all competition for Napoli, as he became the first player to score two headed braces in a single Serie A season since Alberto Gilardino in the 2009/10 campaign.

The Nigerian also became the fourth Napoli player in the De Laurentiis era to have scored 20+ goals in a single Serie A campaign, after Cavani, Higuaín and Mertens.

Osimhen put Napoli ahead as the team continues to march on the Scudetto, after he leapt above Perr Schuurs to score a towering header in the 9th minute.

He then equaled the record set by Samuel Eto’o at Inter in 2010-11 for most goals from an African player in a top-flight campaign in the 52nd minute, after he scored his 21st Serie A goal.

According to Italian media La Gazzetta dello Sport, Osimhen will earn an additional €260,000 (about N127, 244,000.00) if he scores 30 goals for the Parthenopeans in the 2022/23 season.

Recall, the 24-year-old recently activated his goals bonus clause in his contract after scoring his 20th goal of the season, which saw him earn €130,000 (N64m).

The Nigeria international scored in Napoli’s 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League Round of 16 to unlock the €130,000 bonus clause.

Napoli made Osimhen the most expensive African player in history when the Italians paid French Ligue One team LOSC Lille €75m and included a couple of players in the deal that saw the total fee go above €80m in 2021.
