A frontline governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Benue State, Engr. Peter Tortiv-Ato, has congratulated the immediate past Governor of Benue State and leader of the PDP in the state, Chief Samuel Ortom, on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
Ato, in a statement signed by his Director of Communications, Ato Governorship Campaign, 2027, Benjamin Ngutsav, described Ortom as a courageous, visionary, and selfless statesman whose leadership has left an indelible mark on Benue State and Nigeria at large.
The guber hopeful, noted that Ortom’s firm stance on security challenges, particularly through the enactment of the Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishment Law, remains one of the most defining legacies in addressing herder attacks on farmers in the country.

He commended Ortom’s commitment to truth, equity, justice, and fairness, stressing that his focused leadership has strengthened and stabilized the PDP in Benue State positioning it as the most credible political platform in the state.
ATO said “Chief Ortom’s leadership represents courage in the face of adversity and conviction in the defence of our people.
“His legacy of standing firmly for justice, security, and the dignity of Benue citizens will continue to guide and inspire leaders like myself to build a safer and more prosperous state.”
Ato prayed for continued good health, long life, and wisdom for the party leader, Ortom, who also serves as a member of the PDP Board of Trustees, adding that God would provide more leadership opportunities for him to serve the country.
