Orlu Council chairman visits Igbo Diaspora leader in Ghana Amb. Ihenetu 

… Conveys message of renewed hope infrastructural development, peace and security in Imo

 

 

 

The diaspora leader of the Igbo people in the Republic of Ghana— Amb (Dr.) Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu — was honoured to receive in audience the Executive Chairman of Orlu Local Government Area, Hon. Chris Mbarie, on a courtesy visit — where they had a productive discussion on the future of Orlu and the immense opportunities now emerging across Imo State.

During the meeting, the Chairman conveyed a reassuring message of hope that peace has fully returned to the area. He commended the deliberate efforts of the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Sen. Hope Uzodimma, CON, in restoring security, reconstructing critical road infrastructures, and driving developmental projects that have renewed confidence in the area. According to him, these interventions have positioned Orlu once again as the commercial and economic heartbeat of Imo State.

During the meeting, Mbarie, passionately appealed to the Igbo diaspora leader to encourage Ndi Igbo in Ghana and other investors to take advantage of the new atmosphere of peace by investing in Orlu, Oguta, and other parts of Imo State. He emphasized that the local government is ready to partner with genuine investors whose vision aligns with economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development.

In his remarks, which was captured by his Country Director on Media Strategy and Communications; Onyendu Ndigbo in Ghana— Ihenetu — commended the leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma and the Orlu Local Government Chairman for prioritising peace and development. “ As someone committed to promoting the interests of Ndi Igbo beyond our shores, I believe the time has come for our brothers and sisters in the diaspora to reconnect with home through meaningful investments. Beyond economic returns, such investments will strengthen our communities, empower our youths, and contribute to the continued progress of Ala Igbo, he stated“

The future belongs to those who invest in peace. With stability returning and infrastructure improving, Orlu is once again ready to welcome businesses, partnerships, and transformative investments.
