Orban opened the scoring with a well-placed finish after a counter-attack, bending it around David De Gea.
Fiorentina had their chances, including a near miss from Kean and a close call from Fagioli, but Verona doubled their lead on a tap-in from the Nigerian following a throw-in as time was running out.
Despite some late attempts from Fiorentina, Verona held on for the victory.
