Opposition won’t be intimidated by EFCC’s prosecution of El-Rufai, Malami – ADC

The Assistant National Youth Leader (North Central) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hajiya Hassana Shuaibu Dada, has criticised what she called the politically driven, selective prosecutions targeting former Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

Dada, speaking in a statement issued on Wednesday, accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of masterminding the prosecutions to undermine the ADC.

According to her, the prosecution of both men shows that ADC is a challenge to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

“The selective prosecutions of our leaders, Hon. Abubakar Malami and Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, through the EFCC are clearly politically motivated efforts to weaken the ADC because we represent a real alternative to the ruling party.

“These efforts will not intimidate us; instead, they will only strengthen our unity and resolve,” Dada said.

While emphasising the ADC’s unwavering commitment to justice, inclusion, and national renewal, she called on Nigerians to remain vigilant and support the party as a credible platform for good governance and progress.
