Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga has taken a swipe at Peter Obi over his comment on a possible exit from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) should its internal processes be compromised.
Daily Sun reported that Obi, while speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Monday, defended his history of defections, insisting that his decisions were guided by principles.
Reacting to Obi’s comments, Onanuga took to his X account in a blistering attack and accused the former governor of being “peripatetic, opportunistic and inconsistent.”
“Peter Obi, the peripatetic, opportunistic and inconsistent politician ever to operate in Nigeria hints that he may leave the ADC, the way he left APGA, PDP and Labour. Listen to him,” the post reads.
Obi also insisted that the ADC convention will go ahead as scheduled, despite warnings from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and internal party conflicts.
