Nigeria’s Paul Onuachu has emerged joint winner of the 2025/2026 Turkish Süper Lig Golden Boot alongside İstanbul Başakşehir striker Eldor Shomurodov, finishing ahead of fellow Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen.

Onuachu enjoyed an impressive season with Trabzonspor, scoring 22 league goals to end the campaign as one of the division’s top scorers.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) celebrated the striker’s achievement, praising his consistency in front of goal.

“Paul Onuachu was a force to reckon with, scoring 22 goals in the Süper Lig this season,” the NFF wrote on X on Monday.

Shomurodov matched Onuachu’s tally to share the award after also netting 22 goals for İstanbul Başakşehir in a tightly fought scoring race.

Fenerbahçe attacker Anderson Talisca followed with 19 goals, while Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen finished outside the top three with 15 league goals despite making key contributions during the season.

Galatasaray forward Mauro Icardi also featured among the leading scorers after ending the campaign with 14 goals.

Onuachu’s sharp finishing and steady form during the closing weeks of the season proved decisive, helping the Super Eagles striker stay ahead in one of the league’s closest Golden Boot battles in recent years.
