The House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) for the Isoko Federal Constituency in Delta State, Sylvester Onoyona has vowed to deliver bulk votes to the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege at the March 11 polls.
Onoyona stated this at a stakeholders meeting at his Emede country home in Isoko South Local government Area where participants adopted the gubernatorial hopeful as their consensus candidate.
Onoyona who is currently doing battle with the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) and some persons within the Federal Constituency whom he described as enemies of change over attempts to deny him his mandate, said the Isoko people have agreed to vote for Omo-Agege in the next election.
He told the crowd to come out and cast their votes for the APC, saying “with Omo-Agege in the saddle, their will be massive change in the lives of the people, with the youths gainfully employed with the EDGE agenda for the purpose of uplifting them and developing the nation.
The participants at the meeting took turns to address the crowd on the need to stay strong and deliver their votes for their candidate.
Vowing never to vote for the PDP and its candidate, they condemned what they described as the neglect of Isoko nation by the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa-led government during the humanitarian crisis caused by flood in the area last year, as they added that most of the displaced residents were still homeless.
The meeting had in attendance,
Secretary, Delta State Chapter, APC, Surveyor Peter Akarogbi; Lucky Okperi, Chief Benjamin Essien Okiemute; Prince Maikpobi and the APC Candidate for the Isoko South Constituency 1, Blessing Ese.
Others are Chairman APC Isoko South, Vincent Egbogbo, his Isoko North counterpart, Daniel Emebuno; Director General of Dr Onoyona Campaign Council, John Mark Oki; all Isoko South Ward Chairmen; all Isoko North Ward Chairmen; APC Isoko South and North Women and Youth Leaders.
