The Senator representing Ondo North senatorial district, Jide Ipinsagba, has lauded Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for the successful revalidation of the Ondo State Seaport Certificate of Competency, saying that the development is a transformative milestone for the state’s economy and sustainable development.

In a statement issued by the media office of the senator, Ipinsagba commended the Governor’s strategic foresight in obtaining the certification, which he said will catalyse expansive opportunities across the seaport’s value chain.

He said: “this revalidation transcends mere compliance; it establishes Ondo State as a leading maritime gateway in Nigeria. It promises substantial job generation, enhanced agro-industrial exports, streamlined logistics and increased revenue streams for our citizens and the broader national economy.

“I extend my warmest congratulations to Governor Aiyedatiwa and his administration for this pivotal accomplishment, which advances our collective aspiration for a thriving Ondo State,” the Senator remarked.

Also, Senator Ipinsagba congratulated the newly screened ambassadors from Ondo State including Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, Ambassador Sola Iji, and Ambassador Reuben Abimbola Samuel.

“These distinguished sons of Ondo State have upheld the highest standards of excellence and national service throughout the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs screening. Their confirmation as Ambassadors will fortify Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements and amplify Ondo State’s influence internationally. We take immense pride in your achievements and anticipate your exemplary contributions abroad,” he added.

Senator Ipinsagba called on all stakeholders to unite in support of these landmark initiatives, underscoring that collaborative efforts will optimise their benefits for Ondo State’s enduring prosperity.
