To prevent vote buying in the ongoing gubernatorial election in Ondo State, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have stormed the Sacred Heart Primary School, Cathedral, Akure.

The EFCC officials, spotting their red operational outfit, could be seen alighting from their vehicle as the electorate queued to cast their vote for their preferred candidates.

The gubernatorial election is expected to hold across 3,933 polling units in the 18 local government areas in the state.

Daily Sun earlier reported that the Department of State Services (DSS) nabbed a suspected vote buyer at a polling unit in St. Stephen’s Primary School, Akure.
