Following reports of alleged ineffectiveness and inefficiencies of the Ondo State Football Agency, the state government has set up of a three-man panel to look into the activities of the agency.
According to a statement from the office of the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Segun Ajiboye, members of the panel are:
- Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye – Chairman
- Mr. Tunde Ogunja – member
- Elder Mike Adeyeye – member/secretary
The terms and reference of the panel are:
- a) To immediately take over the day-to-day running of the agency
- b) To reorganise and reposition the Agency for greater efficiency to enable it deliver on its stated mandate
- c) To review the over-bloated staff population of the Agency to a manageable size
- d) To ensure that Sunshine Football Club and the Sunshine Queens are not relegated
- e) To examine the various transactions carried out by the Agency in the last four years
- f) To take inventory of all assets and liabilities of the Agency
- g) To make recommendations to government on the foregoing and on such other matters as may be found necessary
The Committee has one month to submit its report.
