Ondo govt sets up 3-man panel on football agency

Following reports of alleged ineffectiveness and inefficiencies of the Ondo State Football Agency, the state government has set up of a three-man panel to look into the activities of the agency.

According to a statement from the office of the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Segun Ajiboye, members of the panel are:

  1. Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye – Chairman
  2. Mr. Tunde Ogunja – member
  3. Elder Mike Adeyeye – member/secretary

The terms and reference of the panel are:

  1. a) To immediately take over the day-to-day running of the agency
  2. b) To reorganise and reposition the Agency for greater efficiency to enable it deliver on its stated mandate
  3. c) To review the over-bloated staff population of the Agency to a manageable size
  4. d) To ensure that Sunshine Football Club and the Sunshine Queens are not relegated
  5. e) To examine the various transactions carried out by the Agency in the last four years
  6. f) To take inventory of all assets and liabilities of the Agency
  7. g) To make recommendations to government on the foregoing and on such other matters as may be found necessary

The Committee has one month to submit its report.
