The Ondo State sector of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of 30 persons in a road accident that occurred at Onipetesi, along the Lagos/Ore expressway in Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.
It was gathered that 28 persons were burnt beyond recognition in the accident, while two others died while being taken to the hospital for treatment.
However, the FRSC hinted that two survivors are already receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

Sources told our correspondent that the accident occurred when two commercial buses had a head-on collision and burst into flames.
The identities of the two vehicles involved in the accident could not be ascertained, just as the victims could not be recognised.
The FRSC State Sector Commander, Samuel Ibitoye, said preliminary investigation showed that one of the vehicles drove against traffic.
He assured that the FRSC will embark on a thorough investigation into the accident with a view to unravelling the detailed causes.
