A blossoming love story between an Ijebu-Ode Prince and an Ikorodu jewel has culminated into a holy matrimony that will unite the couple as well as their illustrious families. The royal family of Anikilaya Ruling House of Ijebu-Ode has welcomed a new bride into the dynasty as one of their princes – Olanrewaju Faruq Onanuga, the son of socialite and businessman, Omooba Olabode Onanuga – has married the love of his life – Fadekemi, the beautiful daughter of Lagos Senator, Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru at a nikkai ceremony held at the Abiru’s home in Ikorodu, Lagos State last weekend.
It is every parent’s dream to be there for the most important milestone in their children’s lives and both parents are so full of joy and gratitude to watch their darling children celebrate their union.
For Olanrewaju and Fadekemi, love indeed is a very beautiful thing and as it stands, the young lovebirds are upbeat and ready for their final traditional engagement and wedding reception on the Island this weekend.
Spotlight gathered that the two families are stopping at nothing in ensuring the latest couple get a deserved high society wedding. To this end, Senator Abiru and his lovely wife, Feyisola; and Omooba Onanuga and his wife, Olori Oluyemi have firmed up arrangements towards the final wedding ceremonies that will witness the convergence of the crème of Nigerian social establishment in Lagos, Nigeria this weekend.
Abiru, an accomplished banker, is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions as well the Chairman, Southern Senators Forum. He has made plans to fete his colleagues from the National Assembly as well as those from the banking and insurance sector.
The groom’s father hails from the same ruling house with the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Dr. Sikiru Adetona. He is a nephew to Mr. Adebayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu.
