For Omobola Abioye, founder of Prospect76 Events, turning 50 is a milestone marked by clarity, freedom and renewed purpose.
According to the UK-based event planner and senior IT consultant, reaching 50 feels like “finally exhaling” after years of building businesses, supporting others, and creating memorable experiences through her event management company, which operates across the UK, Europe and Nigeria.
Abioye noted that the milestone has given her a deeper sense of confidence and self-awareness, adding that she is embracing the new chapter of her life with intention and optimism.
As part of her birthday reflections, she expressed a desire to inspire women to pursue their dreams and embrace their personal journeys. She also highlighted her upcoming initiative, The Fireside Conversation, a live storytelling event scheduled for October 31 in Brussels, designed to provide a platform for honest conversations about growth, identity and self-discovery.
Reflecting on the greatest gift she has received, Abioye said the realization that her work goes beyond business and serves a greater purpose remains her most treasured reward.
Asked to describe her new chapter in three words, she responded: “Rooted, expansive, and unstoppable,” adding, “Turning 50 is not a limit but a launchpad for greater impact, new opportunities, and continued personal and professional growth.”
