The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on his 85th birthday.
In a personally signed message issued on Wednesday in Osun, Oba Akanbi described the Emir as a “pillar of faith” and a role model. He stated, “In life, I envy two people – those promoting God and old people with track records. Emir of Ilorin, HRH Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, combined the two attributes to earn my respect.”

Oba Akanbi praised the Emir’s exemplary life, saying, “Clocking 85 years is an enviable milestone in your life. Interestingly, being a Paramount Ruler, you are the father of the nation, and your position has placed you to be a leader. Living such an exemplary life as a role model endears Godly souls.”
He concluded, “As you mark another glorious year on earth as a pure representative of Olodumare (God), I pray for many more years to celebrate in sound health and more wisdom.”
