The JOF All Stars Team has rounded off 2025 with a bang, culminating in their annual camping program. The programme featured takeaway lessons, training, and skills acquisition, mentoring from ex-Super Eagle player Monday Kanu and career motivation from Mr. Yomi Ogunrinola.
On Saturday, December 27th, the team participation in the U-14 Seyi Akinwumi Charity Foundation 8-team football tournament at Igbobi College, Lagos, was remarkable. The team settled for a 1-1 draw with Ikorodu City, with Musa Muhammed scoring a stunning goal in the 75th minute. In the second phase, JOF All Stars defeated 36 Lion Iwaya 2-1, with midfielders Sakaria Ishola and Sakaria Ramon scoring to seal their spot in the top 8.
Although they lost to Team Lagos after a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes was followed by a 3-1 penalty shootout defeat, the team bounced back to defeat Future Stars FC Sango-Ota 2-0 in a thrilling match on Sunday, December 28th at the Abalti Army Barracks Sports Complex, Surulere, Lagos.
Reacting to the progressive outing, Dr. Olusegun Olugboyegun, the Executive Chairman of JOF Nigeria Limited, praised the importance of investing in youth development, saying, “It’s crucial to encourage and support young people to nurture their talents from a young age. This helps shape them into well-rounded, educated, and skilled individuals who will excel in the years ahead.”
Notably, Musa Muhammed was awarded a scholarship as the best skillful player in the tournament, and both teams received gifts, while the winner walked away with cash prizes at the end of the duel.
Some former Nigerian internationals and other guests were at the stand to watch the superlative display of the JOF All Stars Team during the match.
