The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba (Senator) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa I), will on Friday, November 21, elevate seven senior chiefs along the Olubadan chieftaincy line.
According to a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga, the promotion ceremony will hold at the Banquet Hall of the Olubadan Palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan.
The statement listed the chiefs to be elevated as Chief Rasheed Olalekan Alabi, who will be promoted from Maye Olubadan of Ibadanland to Abese Olubadan of Ibadanland; Chief Ismaila Akinade Fijabi, from Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland to Maye Olubadan of Ibadanland; Chief Saka Fola Lapade, from Agbaakin Olubadan of Ibadanland to Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland; and Chief Teslim Folarin, from Aare Alaasa Olubadan of Ibadanland to Agbaakin Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Others include Chief Muibi Ademola Adewuyi, who will move from Ikolaba Olubadan of Ibadanland to Aare Alaasa Olubadan of Ibadanland; Chief Raufu Yesufu Delesolu, from Asaaju Olubadan of Ibadanland to Ikolaba Olubadan of Ibadanland; and Chief Hammed Adetunji Lanihun, from Ayingun Olubadan of Ibadanland to Asaaju Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The event is expected to attract notable personalities, traditional rulers and invited guests from across the state.
