From Taiwo Oluwadare, Ibadan
Olubadan-designate, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has warned all traditional rulers in Ibadanland to shun land grabbing, disputes and any conduct that could tarnish the image of the Olubadan, the Advisory Council or Ibadanland as a whole.
Speaking through the Ekerin Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Amidu Salawudeen Ajibade, during a meeting with royal fathers at the Olubadan Palace in Oke Aremo, Ibadan, Oba Ladoja emphasised the need for traditional rulers to uphold the dignity and integrity of their offices. He declared that any royal father found aiding or abetting land grabbing or engaging in any criminal act would face severe consequences.
“You must understand that wherever you are, you represent the Olubadan of Ibadanland, the Advisory Council and Ibadanland at large. Therefore, you must monitor the Mogajis and Baales under your authority and ensure they do not bring shame to our heritage,” Oba Ladoja warned.
