Veteran Nollywood actor Olu Jacobs is alive and well, celebrating his 82nd birthday today, Thursday, July 11, just a few days after rumours of his passing circulated on social media.
His wife, Joke Silva, took to Instagram to commemorate the joyous occasion.
In a heartwarming video, Jacobs is seen sporting a personalized house coat while Silva showers him with love and well wishes.
Silva’s caption reads, “82 just like that. Agba ko ni nira l’agbara Jesu (May old age not bring suffering by the power of Jesus).”

Jalade-Ekeinde hailed Jacobs as “a legend, a father to the industry, an outstanding actor, and an incredible soul,” while Ighodaro offered his blessings and Akpotha declared him “a living legend.”
