Acting Amayanabo of Okpoama Kingdom in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, His Highness Nathan Dimunanengi Egba-Dienagha, has promised to use his one-year tenure to enshrine accountability, election, and the coronation of a new King for the Kingdom.

His Highness, Nathan Dimunanengi Egba-Dienagha, in a statement issued over the weekend, also promised to end cases of vendetta, revenge, discrimination, or elimination in the narrative of the kingdom.

According to him, although the sudden and unexpected abdication of the former King, His Majesty King Ebitimi E. Banigo, Okpo XXI, from the throne led to a series of cases, they were all efforts to seek clarity and a proper understanding of the Okpoama Kingdom’s 2008 constitution.

He called on the people of Okpoama Kingdom to view the declarative judgment passed by Justice T.Y. Abasi of the Brass-Nembe High Court in Suit No BYHC/CV/4/2025, on Tuesday, 13th January 2026, as an end to all such cases.

His Highness, Nathan Dimunanengi Egba-Dienagha, vowed to use his 12-month tenure as handed by Justice Abasi to see to the election and coronation of a new King for Okpoama Kingdom.

He said, ” Justice Abasi in his ruling stated explicitly that my tenure as Acting Amayanabo is for 12 calendar months, at the end of which period I must see to the election and coronation of a new King for our beloved Okpoama Kingdom.”

“This obviously is a very serious and onerous assignment that requires total application of all my abilities, capabilities, and the special grace of God.

“I, however, recognize that there is no way I can successfully deliver on this unique assignment without the full support and cooperation of every Okpoama man and woman. The critical decision-making process will involve wide consultations and consensus-building.

“In light of the above, there is no time for vendetta, revenge, discrimination, or elimination. Rather, I call on everyone who loves and believes in Project Okpoama to join hands with me in working towards a new Okpoama that preaches and practices real love, durable peace, and unity of purpose, which are some of the qualities our dear Kingdom used to be known for amongst the Nembe speaking people.”

He also assured the people of the Okpoama Kingdom of ensuring an era of proper financial management, transparency, and development.

“Whatever funds that accrue to the Kingdom would be deployed solely for the best interest of the people of the Kingdom. We will work assiduously in collaboration with external partners and associates to attract development to our Kingdom while also tapping into our God-given resources to grow the Okpoama economy.”

He expressed his appreciation to the former Acting Amayanabo, His Highness Paul Briggs Omubo-Suobagha, for his many years of selfless service and dedication to the cause of our Kingdom.
