Veteran journalist and National President of the Nigeria League of Veteran Journalists, Chief Oliver Okpala, has called on industrialists and entrepreneurs across the country to partner with the Federal Government to improve the standard of living of Nigerians.
Okpala said the country’s economic situation would improve significantly if entrepreneurs and industrialists worked with governments at all levels to tackle widespread hardship and create more opportunities for Nigerians.
He made the call in a message marking the nomination and coronation of Dr. Chinedu Madubuko as the Eze Chinechendo I of Adazi-Ani Kingdom, scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026.
Okpala, who linked Madubuko’s emergence as a traditional ruler to his industrial investments and contributions to society, said only an industrialised Nigeria could adequately provide for its growing population, particularly its large youth population.
He described Madubuko’s ascension to the throne at this time as divine, expressing hope that his reign would bring peace, unity, progress and prosperity to the people of Adazi-Ani.
The founder of Media Link Communications said the new monarch’s emergence was a testament to his wisdom, character and love for the people.
He urged Madubuko to preserve the rich cultural heritage of Adazi-Ani, describing him as a renowned philanthropist whose integrity, commitment to service and pursuit of excellence had positively impacted many lives.
Okpala expressed confidence that the new Eze would bring the same commitment to humanity and exemplary leadership he had demonstrated over the years to his new role as traditional ruler.
