Super Eagles legend, Austin Okocha believes that Victor Osimhen had an outstanding season in the Turkish League with Galatasaray.

Osimhen was in exceptional form this season, scoring 37 goals across all competitions.

Of those, 26 were scored in the Super Lig, contributing significantly to Galatasaray’s success and earning the team 21 vital points. Without his contributions, Galatasaray would have likely lost their title to José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe, who finished 11 points behind in second place.

“I remember the fans and the food from my time at Fenerbahçe. I had a great experience there, although I only stayed for 2 years. Still, those 2 years were significant for my career.”

When asked if he was surprised by Osimhen’s transfer to Galatasaray, he said, “Turkey is a great place to play and live in football. Sometimes, in football, sacrifices have to be made when making decisions. Osimhen had a great season at Galatasaray. He was happy there—why not? I love Turkey.”

Regarding Osimhen’s future, Okocha stated, “I don’t know where he will be next season. Wherever he decides to go, I wish him the best.”

Lastly, Okocha addressed Fenerbahçe fans, saying, “The greatest Fenerbahçe.”
