As concerns grow over the rising rate of broken homes and declining family values, Christian author and lawyer, Dolly Ohanyere, has unveiled The Becoming Collection, a six-book series aimed at helping individuals build healthy relationships and stronger families as the foundation for national development.
Ohanyere made the call in Lagos during the unveiling of The Becoming Collection, a six-book series on identity, purpose and relationships, which she described as a transformational resource for youths, singles and married couples.
According to her, the inspiration behind the collection is to help people discover who they are before making life-changing decisions, particularly in relationships and marriage.
“The family is not just where we begin; it is where we are formed. Broken family systems produce broken individuals. Broken individuals produce broken marriages, and broken marriages produce broken children. Those broken children grow up to become the leaders, legislators, judges, teachers and parents of the next generation,” she said.
She lamented the increasing breakdown of family values, insisting that many of the challenges confronting society today can be traced to dysfunctional homes.
“The state of our nation is a direct reflection of the state of our families. We cannot fix what is happening in our society without going back to where it all begins—our homes,” she said.

Ohanyere said the six books were written to provide practical and spiritual guidance for individuals seeking to build successful relationships, thriving marriages and purposeful lives.
“I did not write these books to make money. I wrote them because I believe they carry something transformational. They will change the way people think about themselves before choosing a life partner,” she added.
The collection includes The Mirror, It Was Always There, Wells and Encounters, Wells and Encounters: Daily Devotional, Meaningful Choosing and Seen from the Start.
Sharing the personal story behind one of the books, Wells and Encounters, the author disclosed that it was the most difficult to write because it was inspired by painful personal experiences.
“I started writing that book from my pain. It was emotionally challenging, but I wanted women to know they are not what they have been through. Their circumstances do not define them. God has created them for more,” she said.
In her remarks, Founder of People of Influence Network, Apostle Isi Igenegba, described Ohanyere as a resilient and purpose-driven woman whose books would positively impact generations.
“There is something powerful about books. God is interested in books because He writes. This work will outlive us and continue to transform lives for generations,” she said.
The event attracted prominent personalities, including veteran entertainer Charly Boy; Managing Director of Godrej Nigeria Limited, Kayode Oladapo; Dr. Adaobi Nwakuche; Chief Executive Officer of Pause Factory Limited, Dr. Enahoro Okhae; Damilola Ogunseye; and the Chairman of the International Airlines Association of Nigeria.
