The State Presidents Forum of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, in collaboration with the Youth Wing of the organisation, has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, on her 59th birthday.
They described her as a source of pride to the Igbo nation.
The group said the former Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, who is also a lawyer, diplomat, entrepreneur and widow of the late Biafran leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, has continued to distinguish herself through exemplary leadership, patriotism and unwavering commitment to national service.
In a birthday message issued on August 5, Ohanaeze praised the minister’s contributions to Nigeria’s diplomatic engagements, noting that her years in public service and advocacy for national unity and the interests of Ndigbo have earned her admiration across the country.
The congratulatory message was jointly signed by the Chairman of the State Presidents Forum, Livingstone Wechie; Acting National Leader of the Ohanaeze Youth Wing and Convener of the Igbo Youth Leaders and Stakeholders Assembly, Mazi Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu; Dr Chukwuemeka Okwuonu (Abia); Justice Chibuzor Okoha (Ebonyi); High Chief Uche Obisi (Enugu); Chief Benjamin Igumbor (Delta); and President of the Imo State chapter, Nze Chris Obialor.
According to the group, Odumegwu-Ojukwu has consistently demonstrated excellence in diplomacy and governance, bringing honour to the South-East and Nigeria through her service at home and abroad.
“As we celebrate this special day, we honour your exemplary leadership, patriotism and unwavering commitment to the service of Nigeria and the advancement of the Igbo nation. Your dedication, excellence and inspiring contributions to diplomacy and national development continue to make us proud,” the statement read.
The forum prayed that God would grant her long life, sound health, renewed strength, wisdom and abundant grace to continue serving the nation with distinction under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
It also wished her greater accomplishments, divine favour and fulfilment in the years ahead, describing her as “a worthy ambassador of Ndigbo whose accomplishments continue to inspire younger generations and project the positive image of the Igbo nation on the global stage.”
