The grand finale of Ohamadike Super League 2025, sponsored by Distinguished Senator Onyekachi Peter Nwebonyi, the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate and Senator Representing Ebonyi North Senatorial District, comes up on 6th January, 2025 at the Abakaliki Township Stadium.
Finalist Ohaukwu L.G.A vs Izzi L.G.A., Ohaukwu L.G.A beats Ebonyi L.G.A 3 – 0 to reach the finals, while Izzi L.G.A aged Abakaliki L.G.A 4 – 0 to advance to the final.
However, the sponsor Distinguished Senator Onyekachi Peter Nwebonyi, have pronounce cash prize of “five million naira” to the winners, “three million naira” for the runners up and “two million naira” for the third.
According to the Senator, it is a way of preventing youths restiveness and curbing social disorderliness during yuletide. He has a slogan that say’s, “Come let us shape the youths and the future”.
The Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Hon. Chidi Ogbonna on the other hand, emphasize that the tournament is to empower the youths of Ebonyi North Senatorial District and to engage them in sporting actions. All the outstanding players will go home with cash prize he said.
