The Ogun State PDP Chairman on behalf of the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP wishes to extend her deepest condolences to the good people of Aworiland, our royal father, HRM, Oba Prof. Abdulkabir Obalanlege, the Olota of Ota and his Council of Chiefs, and the immediate members of the Otegbola family on the painful demise of Senator Solomon Ayodeji Otegbola, Asiwaju of Aworiland.
The Late Senator Otegbola was one of the founding leaders and a former chairman of our great party in Ogun state (1999 -2000). The tragic news of Asiwaju Otegbola’s transition was received by our party with utmost pain but also with gratitude to God Almighty, the giver and taker of human soul, for a good life well spent in quality service to his community, selfless devotion to our ever great political family and humanity in general.
Although our late father and leader transisted to eternal glory at 91 years, we would have hoped to tap more from his vast well of political experience and wisdom as we progress as a family. Baba Otegbola’s love for Aworiland and, indeed, Ogun West Senatorial District was legendary. We are, however, consoled by the fact that our darling leader has gone to rest with the saints after an impactful life.

Baba shall be sorely missed and would be remembered for his steadfast dedication to our great party as he remained true to the ideals of the party, and he raised the standards of consistency and integrity in politics. Truly, Senator Otegbola’s legacy of service, loyalty, and leadership will continue to inspire future generations in public service and an undeniable point of reference.
While we pray that Almighty God, in His infinite mercies, forgives his shortcomings and accepts his wonderful soul, we ask Him to grant the family, his community and the entire PDP family the required fortitude to bear baba’s transition. Amen!
Farewell, dear father and leader!
