Ogun NUJ holds week, honours PMG, Omotoso

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council Press Week, which began on Friday, December 1, 2017, ends tomorrow with its awards night at Daktad Hotels and Suites, Abeokuta.
Among the awardees are the Postmaster General (PMG) of the federation and CEO of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), Mr. Adebisi Adegbuyi and chairman, Committee on Health and Information, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Dr. Samuel Idowu Omotoso.

Chairman of the council, Mr. Wole Shokunbi, said the awardees were selected based on their services and contribution to the society. Adegbuyi, he said, was chosen as the Patron of the union “considering his long term achievements and contributions to the development of the society and the pen profession.
“The leadership of the state council of the NUJ decided to confer on you (Omotoso) an award of excellence tagged ‘Best Media Legislator of the Year.’ This award is based on merit considering your valuable contributions in Ekiti House of Assembly and as the bridge builder between the media and the government.”
