Former governorship candidate in Ogun State, Mr. Adewale Omoniyi has launched an award to inspire and reward hard work among students of Yewa College in Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.

Omoniyi, a proud alumnus of the institution, disclosed this in a statement.

The Adewale Omoniyi Annual Excellence Award aims to encourage students to value education in a time when society often seems to reward the wrong examples.

Omoniyi noted that many young people are losing faith in education because of a system that overlooks brilliance and celebrates mediocrity.

“This award is my way of telling the students that their efforts are seen, valued, and will never go unrewarded,” he said.

According to him, the program will recognize outstanding Yewa College students with cash prizes and gifts, motivating them to continue striving for excellence.

“The program will take place at Yewa Egbado College Ilaro, Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun state.

“The Award Committee, composed of individuals of high moral values and integrity who have dedicated decades to students’ development, is headed by The Rt. Revd. Olúṣíjí Adegboyega.

“Through this initiative, Adewale Omoniyi hopes to restore pride in learning and remind every student that education remains the surest key to lasting success and positive change,” the statement further reads.
