Ogun CP decorates 430 newly promoted officers

The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State, Bode Ojajuni, has decorated 430 junior police officers within the command, in line with the welfare-driven leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

The decoration involved six sergeants promoted to the rank of inspector, four corporals promoted to sergeant, and 420 constables promoted to corporal.

He described the promotions as a demonstration of the Inspector-General of Police’s commitment to the welfare, motivation and career progression of personnel.

He noted that timely promotion remains a critical tool for boosting morale and encouraging officers to remain steadfast in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities.

The commissioner congratulated the newly promoted officers and charged them to regard their elevation as a call to greater responsibility, discipline, professionalism and renewed dedication to service.

He urged them to uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force and discharge their duties with integrity, respect for human rights and commitment to the rule of law.

He further assured that the Ogun State Police Command remains committed to prioritising officers’ welfare and supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening institutional capacity, enhancing operational effectiveness and promoting excellence in service delivery in line with global best practices in policing.
