In a renewed effort to strengthen grassroots coordination and sustain political awareness ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Federal Commissioner representing Ogun State at the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Hon. Akeem Akintayo Amosun, on Sunday, 19 July 2026, convened another strategic re-sensitization meeting with 1,000 coordinators of the Hon. Akeem Amosun Political Movement drawn from Wards 1 to 15 of Abeokuta South Local Government Area.
The strategic meeting, held at AK City, Kemta Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, the official residence of Hon. Akeem Amosun, was organised as a follow-up coordination and sensitization exercise aimed at reinforcing the movement’s grassroots structure and ensuring effective mobilisation in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI).
The 1,000 coordinators, who serve as mainly representatives of the Hon. Akeem Amosun Political Movement across the fifteen wards of Abeokuta South Local Government, were reminded of their critical responsibility in sustaining regular engagement with members and residents within their respective communities. The coordinators oversee a formidable grassroots network, with coordinating members spread across ward 1 to 15 of Abeokuta South Local government with membership ranging from 500 to 1,000 members in each ward of Abeokuta south Local Government.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Amosun described the meeting as another important phase in the continuous sensitization and coordination of the movement, stressing that consistent engagement with grassroots members remains essential to achieving the collective political objective.
He urged the coordinators to return to their respective wards and intensify street by street as well as door to door consultations, organisation and mobilisation of members while promoting the leadership qualities and developmental credentials of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI).

According to him, the gathering was strictly a coordination and sensitization meeting and not an election campaign, noting that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had not commenced the official campaign period. He maintained that the movement would continue to lawfully organise and educate its members until the appropriate time for electioneering activities.
Hon. Amosun reiterated his confidence in Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola’s ability to provide purposeful leadership for Ogun State, describing him as a competent, experienced and people-oriented leader with a proven record of effective representation and developmental initiatives.
He also encouraged members of the movement to remain united, disciplined and committed to the ideals of the APC while continuing to mobilise support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the governorship aspiration of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) in the 2027 general elections.
The meeting witnessed enthusiastic participation from coordinators across all fifteen wards, who reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining grassroots mobilisation and expanding the movement’s reach throughout Abeokuta South Local Government.
At the close of the meeting, the leadership of the Hon. Akeem Amosun Political Movement, he announced that another, larger coordination and re-sensitization meeting involving an expanded number of coordinators has been scheduled for August 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to further strengthen the movement’s grassroots structure and consolidate support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI) across Abeokuta South Local Government.
