Kira Taiwo, daughter of late veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has announced plans for a 40th-day prayer session in memory of her father.
The prayer gathering is scheduled to begin at 12 noon at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion Ground in Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State, where Ogogo was buried on August 24 after his death at the age of 66.
The invitation poster, which featured a portrait of the late actor, read: “You are invited to the 40 days prayer for Alh. Al-Hassan Babatunde Taiwo ‘Ogogo.’”

The event is expected to be attended by members of Ogogo’s family, friends, colleagues and associates, who will gather to honour his memory and celebrate his legacy.
Ogogo died on August 23, 2026, after a career spanning more than four decades in the Yoruba film industry.
The prayer session comes 40 days after the actor’s death in accordance with Islamic tradition.
