Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, Senator Sonni Ogbuoji, has assured government workers, at all levels, and pensioners in the state that he would offer them befitting welfare packages if elected.
He said with his administration, workers in the state would enjoy the fruits of their labour, as he would ensure they have good working conditions that would encourage hard work and productivity.
Ogbuoji, who is currently representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, gave the assurance in Ikwo, Ikwo Local Government Area of the state, during his governorship campaign rally in the area.
He said with his wealth of experience on how government works, especially as regards the critical role played by civil servants, he would make sure civil service administration in the state is strengthened for greater productivity.
The lawmaker, who said he was not pleased with the condition of workers and pensioners at the moment, assured he will place priority on workers’ welfare, if voted into power by Ebonyi electorate.
Also speaking, the Director General of Oguoji’s Campaign Council, Senator Anthony Agbo, said the APC is on a mission to give the people of the state a new lease of life.
