Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State has paid his last respects to the former deputy governor of the state, Chief Patrick Adaba, who died recently.

He extolled the deceased at the burial service, held in Okene on Friday.

Eminent personalities also joined Ododo to pay glowing tributes to Adaba.

Ododo condoled with the bereaved family and prayed that God would repose the soul of the deceased, praying further that God would comfort the family he left behind.

He described the late politician as a dedicated public servant, who served the state with distinction.

“We condole with the family of our dear father, Chief Patrick Adaba. We pray to God Almighty to find a place for him in Al-jannat Firdous

“Though we mourn his departure, what we are seeing here today is the celebration of life. He has departed but his spirit is still alive with us and I urge all of us to emulate him.

“I encourage the family to live in peace and don’t allow anybody to come in-between you,” he said.
