October 1: NSCDC deploys 275 personnel to boost security in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), under the inspired leadership of CC Sani Mustapha, has confirmed the deployment of 275 operational personnel across the state to bolster security, protect lives and property, and to ensure a peaceful and secure Independence celebration.

These deployments effectively cover the anniversary celebrations, with the strategic aim of actively strengthening security presence at volatile areas, state borders, metropolitan areas and other sensitive locations, including airports, trade fairs, recreational centres, motor parks and other public spaces across the 14 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state.

As contained in a statement by ASCI Umar Muhammad, Head of Public Relations of the command, the state commandant called for extensive operational coverage, discipline, consistency and the display of professionalism from all personnel to achieve peace and order efficiently.

CC Sani Mustapha reaffirmed that, under the distinctive leadership of the Commandant General, Prof Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, the Corps is committed to delivering on its mandates and that the Zamfara State Command shall not relent. He reassured the civil populace of the Corps’ resolute obligation to protect lives, property and critical national assets and infrastructure, noting that any perpetrator apprehended shall face the consequences of their action.

The state commandant reiterated his position by extending warm wishes to residents for a successful and prosperous Independence anniversary.
