Oborevwori, NUJ, DOPF eulogises Tompolo at 55

Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) as well as the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, yesterday eulogized the Chairman of Tantita Security Services Limited, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (popularly known as Tompolo), as he mark his 55th birth anniversary, on April 12.

The governor, in a goodwill message issued, on Sunday, by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, paid glowing tribute to Tompolo as a respected leader whose contributions have significantly advanced peace, security, and development across the Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole.

Oborevwori highlighted Tompolo’s impact as Chairman of Tantita Security Services Limited, noting that his efforts have strengthened the fight against crude oil theft, boosted oil production, and contributed positively to the nation’s revenue profile.

He also acknowledged Ekpemupolo’s generous support to the Delta State Security Trust Fund, describing it as a demonstration of his commitment to safeguarding lives and property. He prayed for continued good health, wisdom, and strength for the celebrant.

In the same vein, the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, felicitated Ekpemupolo for his enduring legacy as a man whose name has become synonymous with courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the peace, stability, and development of the Niger Delta region.

A statement signed by Okakuro Akpokona Omafuaire, Chairman of the chapel and Secretary, Edeki Igafe, priased Tompolo for his contributions to the advancement of security, economic growth, and community development in the Niger Delta.

“Your life’s journey reflects the story of a leader who has consistently risen above challenges, transforming adversity into a platform for progress and empowerment”.

The chapel prayed God to continued to grant him good health, wisdom, and strength to carry on invaluable service to humanity.

Meanwhile, the Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) in a statement signed by its Secretary, Shedrack Onitsha, described Tompolo as a “Niger Delta liberator and a renewed force for good,” whose contributions to the peace, stability, and socio-economic advancement of the region remain significant and commendable.

“At 55, we celebrate not just the life of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, but a legacy of resilience, courage, and transformation. From his days as a champion of the Niger Delta struggle to his present role as a stabilising force, Tompolo has remained steadfast in his commitment to the peace, unity, and development of the region. His journey reflects a rare blend of strength and compassion that continues to inspire millions.”

DOPF particularly applauded his leadership role through Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, emphasising that the company’s operations have been instrumental in curbing oil theft, safeguarding critical national assets, and restoring a measure of peace and stability across the region. According to the Forum, these efforts have not only enhanced crude oil production but also contributed to national economic recovery.

“Through your leadership in Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, you have demonstrated that sustainable peace is achievable when local knowledge, community trust, and strategic coordination are effectively harnessed.
