Obi’s choice of Yusuf Baba-Ahmed  as running mate will restore Nigeria, says Eze Ndigbo Mekong, HRH Ezeneche

Following the announcement of  a former Lawmaker, Sen. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed by Peter Obi of Labour party as his running mate in the 2023 General Election, the Eze Ndigbo Mekong River Asia, HRH Eze Jerome Uzochukwu Ezeneche has described the move as a step that would restore Nigeria back to it’s socio-political glory.

In a statement issued to the media shortly after the unveiling of Senator Baba-Ahmed, the king of Six Nations, HRH Ezeneche (Eze Nwanta gwuoshimiri) said at last Nigeria is gradually on the steady path to socio economic growth.

While congratulating the Labour Party and Obi for settling for Baba-Ahmed as running mate, HRH Ezeneche said the duo are the type of leaders Nigeria needs at this time when economy, security and other critical sector of nationhood are near collapse.

“I have no Iota of doubt that Obi and Baba-Ahmed will deploy their youthful experience in good governance and wealth creation to ensure that problems currently facing Nigerians today are overcome.

“As Diasporian king, who follow events in Nigeria, I have watched afar as my country wobble socio economically, but with Obi and Ahmed, I am sure that my hope of seeing Nigeria returning to winning path will be restored.

” I hereby call on Nigerians from all walks of life to give them the necessary support to succeed”, he said.
