Obi visits plateau IDPs to mark 62nd birthday

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 polls, Mr Peter Obi, on Wednesday, paid a visit to different IDP camps in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Obi, who celebrated his 62nd birthday, also gave money and food to the more than 18,000 displaced people residing in the camps, according to a statement by LP Publicity Secretary, Mr. Obiora Ifoh.

Residents of Farinkasa Kerana and Sabon Gari communities in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State were recently thrown into mourning following fresh attacks by gunmen, which left scores of persons dead.

“Mr. Obi who is in company of the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Barrister Julius Abure amongst other party leaders also paid a courtesy visit on the state Governor, Caleb Mutfwang where he commiserated with him on the terror attack,” the statement said.
