Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, has called on the Federal Government to probe the recent Nigerian Army drone bombing mishap in Tudun Biri village in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Obi made the call yesterday when he visited the Tudun Biric community, where over 120 villagers were mistakenly killed by the army. He was at the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in the state capital, where he met with victims who were injured during the deadly misfiring.

The former Anambra governor lamented that the country has recorded no fewer than 16 accidental military bombings that claimed over 500 lives, while the Federal Government has done nothing to avert the recurrence of such tragedies.

Obi urged the government to support the military to put an end to incidents of accidental bombings. He called for adequate funding of the military towards tackling the nation’s security challenges.
